Agents Needed for Flood Insurance Roundtables
Share your perspectives on the flood insurance marketplace and exchange ideas with fellow stakeholders. The Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency will host two roundtable discussions next week:
- Thursday, June 13 in Etna, PA (Allegheny County)
- Friday, June 14 in Reading, PA (Berks County)
The PID is looking for IA&B members to participate as panelists and explain how flood insurance affects your customers and what suggestions you have on increasing awareness and affordability of flood insurance.
Other roundtable panelists include representatives from the banking and real estate industries as well as federal, state, and local government and academia. This gathering of all stakeholders will allow various issues to be accounted for while breaking down barriers and dispelling myths. It is also a good opportunity for agents to network with individuals involved at the local level.

Beyond serving as panelists, IA&B members are welcome to attend the events. They will include the roundtable discussion and small-group breakout sessions and end with informal networking events. All insurance producers – attendees and panelists alike – will earn four continuing education credits.
