IA&B's Legislative Events

IA&B's legislative events focus on getting member agents involved at both the national and state level on the issues that directly impact their livelihood.

Each event serves as a grassroots opportunity for agents to meet their elected officials, convey our position on critical industry issues, and network with other politically minded agents. No other event presents the same forum for agents to have a direct impact on policymakers.

On the national level, IA&B annually participates in IIABA's National Legislative Conference for Delaware and Pennsylvania members. At various times, state grassroots events are also planned in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Recap of the 2017 NLC

Special thanks to Travelers for sponsoring the 2018 legislative dinner.

Why go?

Join IA&B on Capitol Hill and be a part of the Big "I" Annual Legislative Conference and Convention. This event allows you, as an IA&B agent, to directly impact the legislative process. Now is your chance to bend the ears and shape the minds of Congressional members who play a large role in the industry under which you operate.

With so many hot-button issues on the table, there has never been a better time to get involved and let your voice be heard! We need people, like you, to talk about the issues that matter most.

What's in it for me?

This is your chance to be on the front lines of political action at little or no cost to you. IA&B picks up the tab. That means:

  • free conference registration
  • free hotel room (April 18 only)
  • free reception and dinner (April 18 only)

Your only cost is travel expenses to and from Washington, and any extra meals or hotel accommodations.

What to expect?

IA&B has prepared a comprehensive agenda for the event with staff providing you all the materials and logistical information you need for your day on Capitol Hill.

All attendees who wish to cancel their registration must do so through contacting IA&B directly.
